Provisional to Full (P2F)

The Provisional to Full (P2F) process enables provisionally registered teachers to demonstrate their professional practice and achieve full teacher registration in Tasmania. Through the completion of an Inquiry Plan, teachers investigate a teaching and learning focus, demonstrate their impact on student outcomes, and reflect on their practice.

What’s new in 2026

The P2F Inquiry Plan process has been further refined to better help you demonstrate your impact and proficiency against the APST. These updates directly reflect the feedback we received from teachers and stakeholders.

Mandatory Template:
You must submit your application using the 2026 P2F Inquiry template.
Process Stability:
There will be no further amendments to the P2F Inquiry process in 2026. Future amendments will only occur if required by legislative or national mandates.
Completion Timeline:
The Inquiry must be completed within the same academic year in which it is commenced.
