Confirmation of Professional Standing

What is a Letter of Professional Standing?

Teachers who want to teach in another country may need to provide confirmation of their teaching qualifications and registration status. The TRB can provide teachers who are currently or previously registered to teach in Tasmania with written confirmation of verified qualifications, registration history, and character, known as a Letter of Professional Standing.

How to Request a Letter of Professional Standing

To request a Letter of Professional Standing, please email trb@trb.tas.gov.au. Include the following details in your email:

  • Details of the contact person: The name of the person requesting the letter
  • Address for the letter: The postal or email address where the letter should be sent
  • Any relevant reference number: Case number, application reference, or other identifying information from the overseas employer or regulatory authority

This allows us to email the letter directly to the employer or regulatory authority. We will ‘CC’ you in the email so you can retain a copy for your records.
