The Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) is reviewing the Teacher Standards and there are opportunities for you to have your say.
The review will consider the extent to which the Teacher Standards remain relevant, evidence-informed and aligned with an understanding of effective practice.
This includes identifying areas where the Teacher Standards may be strengthened or improved to ensure they remain fit for purpose, and providing recommendations on revisions needed.
Consultation 1 focuses on the current Teacher Standards.
AITSL is inviting you to share your experiences and perspectives through an online survey. This survey is open until 7 August 2026.
