Fees and Payments
The Teachers Registration Act 2000 establishes fees for teacher registration, renewals, and other services.
Fees for 2026–2027 came into effect on 1 July 2026.
Understanding Your Fees
1. Application Fee
A once-off application fee ($65.09 in 2026–2027) is payable when you:
- apply for registration for the first time, or
- apply for a new registration cycle (renewal of your full registration or reapplying for provisional registration).
This fee covers the administrative cost of assessing your application and a new Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and is separate from your annual registration fee.
2. Annual Registration Fee
The annual registration fee is to maintain your registration ($121.32 in 2026-27).
You can choose to pay for up to 5 years, subject to the years remaining in your current cycle.
