Australian Teacher Workforce Survey 2024
Registered teachers in schools and early childhood settings across Tasmania – it’s time to have your say in the Australia Teacher Workforce Survey. Share your experiences and challenges of working in the profession with us.
Your ongoing participation is vital as it helps us build a deeper understand of the workforce, and how it changes over time.
Take 10–15 minutes to fill in the survey and tell us about:
- your wellbeing and job demands
- your hours – the time you spend teaching and preparing to teach
- your career intentions – whether you plan to stay in the profession
- your workforce arrangements – including your contractual arrangements and working hours.
All registered teachers in Tasmania will receive a unique survey link via email on 23 September.

The Australian Teacher Workforce Survey is part of the Australian Teacher Workforce Data (ATWD) initiative and is the biggest survey of the teaching profession in Australia.
The ATWD is supported by all governments, employer groups and associations, and is delivering a comprehensive picture of the national teacher workforce, from initial teacher education through all stages of the teacher career, and across all states, territories and employer sectors.
