If an individual is not on the Tasmanian Register of Teachers then they do not currently hold teacher registration. The register updates automatically when registration is granted, amended, or suspended.

Watched Registrations
The Watched Registrations tool was created to assist teacher employers to comply with the Teachers Registration Act 2000 by ensuring that all the teachers they employ hold current registration to teach in Tasmania.
Employers can access the Watched Registrations tool in their TRB Online account. It is the employer’s responsibility to create and then manage their list of registered teachers by adding and removing teachers as required.
A teacher who is on or added to a school’s ‘Watched List’ and has two asterisks (**) next to their name has professional conduct conditions on their registration. The principal, assistant principal, or an authorised human resources representative should contact the Board on (03) 6165 5977 and ask to speak with a member of the Professional Conduct Team for more information.
Employers/principals are encouraged to advise the Board if a teacher with these conditions leaves the school to teach elsewhere in Tasmania. Please email conduct@trb.tas.gov.au.
