The Teachers
Registration Board will be offering Information Sessions during 2010
for teachers who are interested in progressing from Provisional to
Full Registration.

Teachers Registration
Act
The Teachers
Registration Act 2000 has been amended and, as of 1 January 2010,
a range of new provisions govern the
process of teacher registration in Tasmania.

forms have been changed to reflect the requirements of the new Act. These

National Professional
Standards for Teachers
The draft
National Professional Standards for Teachers have been released for
consultation. You can view the draft Standards and read more about the
overall consultation process from
Ministerial Council
for Education, Early Childhood and Youth Affairs (MCEECDYA).
The Department
of Education and the Teachers Registration Board will be working
together to manage local consultation processes. More details will
be available soon.
